Rapala Mini Fishing Scale

Rapala Mini Fishing Scale

First Look: Rapala Mini Digital Scale
Rapala Mini Digital Fishing Scale is ideal for anyone who’s looking for a small type scale to carry around. It’s small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and the rubber like material feels soft to the touch. Overall the scale looks and feels like it's well made. One thing I noticed though was that the power button is not very responsive. You have to press the button in and hold it for a moment to get the scale to power on. But Rapala did get things right about this scale. The digital numbers are quite big and comfortable to read. The scale also seemed very responsive when something was weighted. So in the end the Rapala Mini Digital Scale is a quality fishing scale that should be a nice fit inside any fisherman’s tackle bag.

New Crankbait Series from Rapala

Rapala has announced it's new line of Crankbaits. They call it the Scatter Rap®. According to Rapala this lure is able to scatter from one side to the next as opposed to just swimming inline when you retrieve the lure. It achieves this thanks to its new curved lip design. All the lures look great and I am sure picking one up when they go up for sale. Check out the Scatter Rap® Series Video above for more. Or check out other great crankbaits from Rapala.

wLure Affordable Crankbait First Look

It took the wLure brand lipless crankbait about three weeks to arrive from China and now it’s here. The shape and size of this genetic brand crankbait look ok at first glance. There is plenty of little rattling balls inside which make a lot of noise when you shake the lure. I counted eight balls all together. The fishing hooks look solid and they hang down nicely towards the bottom of the crankbait body. The colors are a little washed out, this is due to the translucent body. But overall this inexpensive crankbait seems to be a good deal considering it cost less than two dollars. If it catches some fish come spring then it will be worth it. Check out more details about this crankbait by Clicking Here!

Spring time 2013 Update
After having a chance to take this wLure translucent Crankbait out for a test I cannot recommend it to anyone. The transparent body of this crankbait is very cheap and it breaks easily. On my first cast the lure hit a rock without too much force breaking one of the hook connections and the front of the crankbait. So in the end it's more cost effective to keep the dollar fifty you'll spend on this lure and buy something much more durable.
