First Look: Yakima Original Rooster Tail Spinner

Roster Tail Spinner

Spinners are one of my favorite lure types for several reasons. On of the main ones is that they can be used to catch a wide verity of fish. From all sorts of panfish, bass, walleye to trout, spinners are a effective way to catch them all. That's why am always glad to add a spinner or two to my tackle box. The latest one to enter my collection is the Yakima Bait Wordens Original Rooster Tail Spinner which I purchased for about $3 dollars.

My first impression was that the spinner looks and feels like a quality spinner that should be good at catching fish. The body has a dark green color that fades into a bright orange. The hook is covered up by a light yellow puffy tail that should make it more visible in the water. The main reason I chose this particular spinner was the gold color blade. I wanted something very shiny so I figured gold should do the trick. The blade is attached to the body by a fine wire which allows it to spins around freely.

Judging from the first look this spinner should perform well and catch fish. We'll find out in the next week or two when I get back to fishing.
